Dressing for the Climate
Dinners: Smart Casual
For dinners in Zurich at the end of January, layering is key to staying warm while maintaining a smart casual look:
A collared shirt, sweater, or blouse paired with dress pants, or dark jeans, along with dress shoes or boots.
Closed-toe shoes or boots are appropriate. Layer with a warm coat, scarf, and gloves, as evening temperatures will be below freezing.
Meetings: Business Casual
Dress for meetings in Zurich should be professional yet comfortable, with layers to adjust for varying indoor temperatures:
A button-down shirt, polo, blouse, or smart top paired with dress pants, or a casual dress. A sweater or cardigan is a good choice for layering.
Shoes can include flats, boots, dress shoes, or low heels, depending on comfort and style preference.
Team Excursion to Mount Titlis and Lucerne: Casual and Winter Outdoor Wear
The team excursion will involve outdoor activities in winter conditions. Dressing appropriately for the cold and snowy environment is essential.
Warm, layered clothing is a must. Start with thermal base layers and add sweaters or fleece for insulation.
A waterproof and windproof jacket or coat is necessary to protect against the elements.
Comfortable, warm pants (such as hiking pants or winter trousers) are recommended. Pair them with sturdy waterproof hiking boots or snow boots.
Don’t forget winter accessories like gloves, a winter hat, and a scarf for additional warmth.
Sunglasses and sunscreen are advisable for high altitudes to protect against the sun and snow glare.
