JA Brand Guidelines

Brand Collateral to Download and Use

Remember that anything you see in the Brand Guidelines are available to you as both Illustrator files and (with only a few exceptions) Canva files. A quick link to bookmark for all collateral is https://oneja.org/brand-collateral.

These files go way beyond lockups. We have templates for reports, social-media content, posters, letterhead, and so much more. Files are hyperlinked in the JA Brand Guidelines and sorted by folders on Dropbox.

One additional note: JA members may create lockups for their own subnationals/local areas or ask JA Worldwide to do so. If you’re a subnational or local area, please check with your member country. If you’re a JA member and would like JA Worldwide to create your subnational lockups, please us the “Talk to Us!” form, below.

Holiday Cards Are Here!

JA holiday cards are here! Because of the two GLCs, we didn’t have an opportunity to create as many new ones as in previous years, so we also reached back to some old favorites and updating their branding.

The designs can be used on social media, on your website, or in an email, so they come in square and rectangular versions (the rectangles would also make good printed cards . . . they’re not shown on this page, but they’re in the folder). One is a gif, too.

Remember: You’re not required to use these, and you are free to translate or edit the designs however you’d like. As always, we’ve included the Illustrator file of all sizes and designs so that you can translation, swap out your logo, change wording, and more. (This file can be uploaded to Canvas to edit there.)

Note: We’ll release a design for the lunar new year, the Year of the Dragon (which begins February 10) in the January OneJA newsletter.

Using Canva? Follow these instructions:

  1. Log into your Canva account.

  2. Click the purple “Create a design” button at the top right of the window.

  3. Click “Import file” near the bottom of the menu.

  4. Navigate to and select the Illustrator file (see link to folder, above) you wish to convert and click “Upload.”

  5. Now that the file has been imported, you can edit the converted file in Canva, which should be in your Recent Designs section. Note that when importing graphics of different sizes, Canva changes them all to the same size. You’ll need to change the size of the wide files (which should be 1200x628 but come up at 1200x1200).

Brand Feedback for 2024 Update

It’s time for our annual brand update, and we need your feedback by January 15, 2024. It’s a long form, but you’re welcome to skip any of the questions and answer only the ones that apply to your work. Also, specific feedback (like, “I find the turquoise colors are a bit too similar”) is far more helpful than, “I don’t like the colors.” One note: You won’t be able to save your work, so please complete in one sitting.

View the JA Brand Guidelines in the flipbook, above. You can also download a PDF of the JA Brand Guidelines or view them in translation on the brand page of this website.

 JA Anniversary Graphics

Approaching a milestone anniversary? We’re happy to share one possible graphic treatment . . . flip through the presentation, below. A few notes:

For the year of your milestone anniversary (which must end in a 5 or 0), you may replace “A member of JA Worldwide” with your anniversary design or message. (After the milestone year, per your member agreement, you must go back to using “A member of JA Worldwide.”)

Have another design in mind? If you are not replacing “A member of JA Worldwide,” you do not have to get approval on the design. If you are replacing the line about your global membership with your anniversary design or messaging and you are not using the anniversary graphics provided on this page, please send an email to contact@jaworldwide.org so that we can review your design and give approval to forgo “A member of JA Worldwide” for one year.

You can find the design files here.

Talk to Us

Having any issues with your lockups or other collateral, like a typo in the Brand Guidelines, odd sizing, missing files, links that don’t work, or anything else? Want to share your love for the brand? No matter what you want to discuss, be in touch by completing the form below.

What Icons Do You Need?

Keeping in mind that our new branding puts large photos front and center—which means our brand icons should be used sparingly and kept to a fairly small size—which ones should we focus on? We currently offer about 100 icons, but are always looking to add more. After reviewing the existing icons (including 40 new ones for 2023), what additional topics and ideas would you like to see represented?

“This Is JA” PowerPoint Deck

We’ve compiled a PowerPoint deck that offers both design and content options in the modernized branding! As always, you may adapt, add to, edit, or change the content in any way that suits your needs. Click here for a folder with the “This Is JA” deck and a few other files.

Note: Each year, we update the deck; in the current deck, you’ll find small yellow boxes that describe which slides have been updated (please delete these before presenting from the deck.

  • Looking for a blank, branded deck? Here’s one, and it has the advantage of being a small size that’s easy to email to colleagues.

  • This additional blank deck has more extensive designs, and those designs make it significantly larger.

  • You may also create all the additional designs you’d like. If you develop a new design or a new slide with great content that you think will be useful to your JA peers, we encourage you to submit it here.

JA Alumni Brand Modernization

As with the main JA brand modernization, JA alumni branding has been updated!

Brand-Announcement Video

A new, fun brand-announcement video is ready to share with the world. Below, you can find versions in English, Arabic, Spanish, Greek, and Hungarian on Vimeo, which also allows you to download the video directly (useful for uploading to social-media platforms).

  • Want a translation in your language? Download the script, translate it, and send the completed form to Lorrie Noggle, who will add the translated text to a version of your own.

In addition, INJAZ Al-Arab JA MENA has created graphics for the campaign (for use on social media or your website) and has made ready-to-share files available to the entire network, as well as design files for you for customization. Take a Look at How You Can Customize!

Young Enterprise Switzerland (YES) took the Premiere Pro file shared above and built on it to produce a brand-announcement video all their own. We encourage you to watch the main video, above, and then watch the YES video, below. Notice how they added a few more “Swiss” elements at the beginning, added to and changed the order of the examples of how the world has modernized, and then see how they made the JA bird fly around! A wonderful example of the abundant nature of our modernized brand.

Brand-Announcement Graphics

INJAZ Al-Arab JA MENA created a set of graphics (more than is shown here) that you can use as you announce your brand update.
